A Simply Elegant Wedding Cake for 21
Kellie booked a Simply Elegant Cake Consultation to chat through her ideas, flavours and the overall feel she wanted. Her vision was a beautiful two-tiered wedding cake with two different flavours, finished with a rustic, textured buttercream design. With just 21 guests, the proportions were pared back rather than building a cake designed for a much larger wedding — because small doesn't have to mean ordinary.
The Cake
Kellie organised the beautiful flowers for her own cake, which meant they could be added on arrival at The Moorings Lakehouse — the cake designed and created in the Smiths Lake kitchen, with those final details layered on at the venue to make sure everything worked beautifully with the setting and Kellie's chosen styling.
